Netflix has announced a live-action feature film based on the anime series ‘My Hero Academia’ in collaboration with Legendary Entertainment.
Shinsuke Sato will be directing the film, while the screenplay has been written by Toby Harold. Legendary Entertainment’s Mary Parent and Alex Garcia are the producers.
The official synopsis for the series reads: “For superhero fanboy Izuku Midoriya (aka Deku), being born without a quirk makes him almost give up his dream of going to U.A. High School, the most prestigious hero training academy. But after a chance encounter with the legendary All Might, Deku starts on the road to become the greatest hero.”
The platform is currently streaming season 6 of the anime in specific regions with one new episode premiering each week.
