Prime Video announces new original series ‘Modern Love Mumbai’

Prime Video has announced an Indian version of the hit US anthology, Modern Love. The streaming platform recently shared the first poster for Modern Love Mumbai.

Modern Love Mumbai is the localized version of the popular US anthology, Modern Love, directed by John Carney. It is set to release on May 13.

The Prime Original series will be presented in a three-chapter format, each focusing on a different city, as the name suggests. The following two anthologies will be Modern Love Chennai and Modern Love Hyderabad.

Six filmmakers will work on the Mumbai Chapter, namely Vishal Bhardwaj, Hansal Mehta, Shonali Bose, Dhruv Sehgal, Alankrita Shrivastava, and Nupur Asthana.

The star cast includes Naseeruddin Shah, Sarika, Yeo Yann Yann, Arshad Warsi, Chitrangda Singh, Pratik Gandhi, Fatima Sheikh, Wamika Gabbi, Masaba Gupta, Mister Chang, Ritwik Bhowmick, Pratik Babbar, Ranbeer Brar, Dinesh Razvi, and Bhupendra Jadawat.

Reportedly, the titles of different stories in the Mumbai chapter will be Raat Rani, directed by Shonali Bose, Mumbai Dragons, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, My Beautiful Wrinkles by Alankrita, I love Thane by Dhruv Sehgal, and Cutting Chai by Nupur Asthana.
