Kashmakash (Hungama Play): An anthology of cautionary thrillers

Hungama Play released the trailer of its upcoming web series, Kashmakash, on various social media platforms.

The web series is an anthology comprising five unique stories based on modern day crimes. It seems to be promising as it tackles relevant contemporary issues including cyber crime and drug abuse.

The show will not only deal with the execution of the crime but it will also present, to its audience, the dilemmas of the victims when they have to choose between right and wrong.

The trailer starts with back-to-back shots of people, in disastrous situations, foreshadowing a gloomy future.

The web series is inspired by real life stories and the trailer reveals the protagonists of these stories – a housewife, an aspiring influencer, a social media fanatic, a drug addict and a notorious WhatsApp group admin. These stories will deal with their obsessions and how these obsessions lead to their downfall.

It stars some prominent television personalities like Abigail Pande, Sharad Malhotra, Eijaz Khan, Lavina Tandon, Supriya Raina Shukla and Anjum Fakih among others.

The anthology, through these narratives, will give a word of caution to the viewers. Abigail Pande stated:

We carry on with our daily activities without any sense of caution merely because they are part of our routine. Kashmakash serves as a reminder that one has to be cautious of whatever they do. I am thrilled to be a part of the show and cannot wait for the viewers to watch it on Hungama Play.

The stars of the show also hinted at the unusual ideas that have gone into making it; Kashmakash is said to have alternate endings to make it more interesting. The viewers will get a glimpse of what could have been.

The web series is produced by Anil V Kumar Productions and will be available on Hungama Play from 25th February.
