Code M: ALTBalaji and ZEE5’s military drama to have a second season

Following the success of the first season of Code M, the creators are all set for a second season. The producers announced that the new season is already in the pipeline.

At a party thrown by Juggernaut Production to celebrate the success of season one, Ekta Kapoor, Managing Director – ALTBalaji and Tarun Katial, Chief Executive Officer – ZEE5 India declared the continuation of their collaboration with Code M.

Code M released in January 2020 with popular TV actress Jennifer Winget as Major Monica Mehra, an Indian Army lawyer in the lead role. The web series also features Tanuj Virwani as Legal Council Angad Sandhu along with other well-known actors like Rajat Kapoor and Seema Biswas.

The first season explores the mystery surrounding the investigation of the murder of an army officer and two militant suspects. As the story progresses, many secrets unravel which keep you hooked to your screens.

Following the announcement, leading lady Jennifer Winget who made her digital debut with Code M had this to say:

I am both thrilled and humbled at the same time to see the audience’s appreciation for Code M and all our performances. We gave it our best to reel in a gripping show that would get you hooked. Of course, to receive so much love in my very first web series is very encouraging. Needless to say, we’re hooked too and I am excitedly diving into my character the second time around. We will be giving it our all. The intensity will only peak, I can promise you that.
