Premiering globally on June 12, comedian Jo Koy gears up for his third Netflix special ‘In His Elements’. Koy took to Instagram to break the news and announced, “everything about the special is Philippines”.
In this comedy-special, Koy brings Netflix to the Philippines for the first time ever and celebrates his heritage by sharing jokes about his life and experiences of being a Filipino-American.
In the official trailer released by Netflix, Koy and other Filipino-American performers, namely famous breakdancer Ronnie, Grammy-winning producer !llmind, singer/songwriter Iñigo Pascual, and comedians Andrew Lopez, Joey Guila and Andrew Orolfo go around Manila, shedding light on its music, performers, food and culture.
In his Instagram video, Koy shared that this one special is indeed very special to him. “I had to go back to my home, the Philippines for this one…Let’s show how beautiful the country is, how beautiful the people are…I can’t wait for the world to see it. I am very proud of this work,” he said.
