The official social media handles of Gossip Girl reboot unveiled the core cast and characters that will be a part of the upcoming HBO Max show.
The reboot boasts of a diverse cast which includes Emily Alyn Lind, Jordan Alexander, Whitney Peak, Evan Mock, Eli Brown, Tavi Gevinson, Zion Moreno, Thomas Doherty and Savannah Smith.
Each cast member was revealed in a separate post along with the name of their character and one trait that propels them.
The Gossip Girl reboot is set eight years after the events of the original show. Its official logline reads:
“Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media—and the landscape of New York itself—has changed in the intervening years.”
Kristen Bell, who was the voice of “Gossip Girl” in the original series, will also return for the revival.
The Gossip Girl reboot is expected to premiere on HBO Max in 2021, although no official date has been announced yet.
