Netflix has announced live-action adaptations of the ‘Gears of War’ video game created by Epic Games and The Coalition.
The network has confirmed that the game will get both a series as well as a movie. However, no release window has been announced yet.
‘Gears of War’ is based on a ragtag group of infantry members locked in combat against a race of genetically enhanced humans known as the Locust Horde. The group, led by disgraced sergeant Marcus Fenix, battles against these enemies on the planet of Sera.
The adaptations are produced in partnership with The Coalition. It joins a slate of recently announced video game adaptations by the streaming service; Assassin’s Creed, Sonic Prime and BioShock.
