Netflix India has released the trailer for a new film titled, ‘Cinema Bandi’. The Telugu original has been made under director duo Raj & DK’s production company — D2R Indie. It will premiere on the platform on May 14.
‘Cinema Bandi’ is a heartfelt story of an autorickshaw driver who finds an expensive camera in his vehicle after a passenger leaves it behind. He then decides to gather people from his village to make a successful movie in order to generate revenues for his draught hit village.
The trailer sees the group of people facing highs and lows as they venture out to produce their amateur film. From casting a leading lady to figuring out how a mic works, there are a tonne of challenges hindering their positive intentions. The film, via this journey, emphasises the fact that “Everyone is a filmmaker at heart”.
It has been helmed by first-time director, Praveen Kandregula, and penned by Vasanth Maringanti.
