Crime series ‘Jett’ joins HBO Max line up

HBO Max recently dropped the official trailer of crime series ‘Jett’ that started streaming on the platform from July 9. The heist drama revolves around a world-class thief, played by Carla Gugino, who takes one last heist job before stepping into a straight life.

Daisy Kowalski, a daring professional burglar popularly referred to as ‘Jett’, is ready to make a new start in her life with her daughter, leaving her shady past behind. But before she does that, she is pulled back into the world of crime to take one last shot at what she is good at.

When Charlie Baudelaire, played by Giancarlo Esposito, approaches her for a jewel heist in Cuba with her Ex Quinn (Mustafa Shakir), an expert safe-breaker, she gives it her all to win to prove a crime can pay if carried out the right way.

The slick ‘Jett’ trailer features the daring Daisy at top of her game using all her criminal talent to carry out a clever heist. She, however, has to face hurdles in the form of various dubious characters as well as dangerous criminals, who will try to exploit her expertise on the way.

The rest of the ‘Jett’ cast includes Elena Anaya, Michael Aronov, and Gaite Jansen.

The series had originally premiered in 2019 on Cinemax with nine episodes, but was discontinued despite a decent viewership, following the suspension of the platform’s original content. Whether the series will be renewed for another season is not confirmed yet.
