Ekta Kapoor confirms season 3 of 'Broken but Beautiful' with a new pair

ALTBalaji’s hit romantic drama Broken but Beautiful will return for a season three, Ekta Kapoor has confirmed.

Kapoor took to Twitter to announce the news:

The time has come to break this heartbreaking news! While we have commissioned the next season of #brokenbutbeautiful it won't have Veer and Sameera. Their story ends here without unnecessary twists. Kapoor also shared that the lead pair of season one and two, Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi will not be returning.

Broken but Beautiful revolved around Veer (Massey) and Sameera (Sethi) and their never-ending romance. The web series premiered in 2018 and immediately garnered praise from the audience and critics alike. The web series has an impressive rating of 9/10 on IMDb.

Since Veer and Sameera’s story reached its conclusion in season two, they will not be returning for the third instalment.

Massey reacted to the news and said: “Thank you for some of the best memories of my life on BBB. Will miss this incredibly talented team. Looking forward to seeing you soon”.

Sethi also commented: “Ouch. This is heartbreaking. Broken But Beautiful will always be closest to my heart… Thank you again for giving me Sameera and to everyone who loved her so much…”

Kapoor also asked the fans to suggest a new pair for season three. The most popular names that emerged were those of Siddharth Shukla and Jennifer Winget.

While Shukla has not yet made his digital debut, Winget was last seen as Major Monica Mehra in ALTBalaji’s Code M which will soon return with a second season.
