Apple TV+ hosted a premiere for its upcoming series, ‘Shantaram‘. It is based on the internationally best-selling novel of the same name by Gregory David Roberts.
The event was held at the Regency Bruin Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The attendees included co-creator, showrunner and executive producer, Steve Lightfoot and lead actor Charlie Hunnam.
They were also joined by cast members Fayssal Bazzi, Sujaya Dasgupta, Antonia Desplat, Matthew Joseph, Rachel Kamath, Alyy Khan, Elektra Kilbey, Vincent Perez, Shubham Saraf and Gabrielle Scharnitzky.
‘Shantaram’ on Apple TV+ follows an Australian convict named Lin Ford (Hunnam) who escapes prison and gets lost in the vibrant and chaotic Bombay of the 1980s.
Alone in a strange city, Lin struggles to avoid the trouble he’s running from and falls for an intriguing woman named Karla. Now, he must choose between freedom or love and the complications that follow.
The show will stream its first three episodes on October 14, 2022 followed by a new episode every Friday till the finale on December 16, 2022.
