Shantaram is an upcoming series on a fugitive on the run who ends up in 1980s Mumbai chasing redemption and will stop at nothing to get it.

Release date

The 12-episode series will premiere on October 14 with the first three episodes, followed by one new episode released each week.

Synopsis

“‘Shantaram’ follows a fugitive named Lin Ford (Hunnam) looking to get lost in vibrant and chaotic 1980s Bombay. Alone in an unfamiliar city, Lin struggles to avoid the trouble he’s running from in this new place.

“After falling for an enigmatic and intriguing woman named Karla, Lin must choose between freedom or love and the complications that come with it.”

Shantaram was a wanted man who had a price on his head. His escape landed him in the city of Mumbai in the 1980s. He meets Karla, and the two hit it off from the first moment, but Shantaram’s past threatens to destroy everything.
