Based on the 2011 American action thriller film ‘Hanna’ directed by Joe Wright, Amazon Prime Video created a series with the same name.
Directed by Sarah Adina Smith, season 1, starring Esme Creed-Miles, Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos, came out on March 29, 2019. Amazon renewed the series for a second season which will be made available on July 3, 2020.
The announcement was made through Twitter. In the video, ‘Hanna’ herself is seen announcing the premiere of the show with a short teaser to excite fans.
Produced by Hugh Warren, the story is about an isolated fifteen-year-old teen raised and trained by her father to protect her from a CIA agent, Marissa Weigler. She invents genetically weaponised army of girls whom she calls her ‘sisters’.
