Tom Hanks’ A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is all set to stream on Amazon Prime Video India.
The OTT Platform took to Twitter to announce the news:
The film stars renowned actor Hanks along with Matthew Rhys, Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Cooper.
The official description reads:
Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about kindness, love and forgiveness from America’s most beloved neighbor.
A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is directed by Marielle Heller and written by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster.
The 2019 film has an impressive rating of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. With a production budget of $25 million, the film grossed a total earnings of $67.8 million worldwide.
Hanks also received several nominations for his role including one for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award.
A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood will premiere on the streaming platform on May 1, 2020.

Amazon Prime Video India will also make available several Hollywood films including Emma Watson and Saoirse Ronan starrer Little Women and Joaquin Phoenix starrer Joker. Both films won Academy Awards for various categories including Best Actor for Phoenix.
