‘Little Women’ set to stream on Amazon Prime Video

Emma Watson and Saoirse Ronan starrer popular hit Little Women will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on April 26.

The cast of the movie also includes Florence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet, Chris Cooper, Laura Dern, James Norton, and Meryl Streep amongst others.

Little Women is based on “both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott”. The movie is directed and written by Greta Gerwig.

The Sony Pictures Entertainment production released last year around Christmas across the world and received immense praise from audiences and critics alike.

The official description of the movie reads as follows:

Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life.  

In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women each determined to live life on her own terms

Little Women received six Academy Award nominations including ‘Best Motion Picture of the Year’. It won the Academy Award for ‘Best Costume Design’.

Ronan and Pugh were nominated for ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role’ and ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role’ respectively.

Ronan was also nominated for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for her performance.
