Netflix hosted a special premiere for its upcoming mystery series ‘1899’, which has been created by the makers of the acclaimed show ‘Dark’; Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar.
The premiere, organised in Berlin on November 10, featured prominent cast members: Andreas Pietschmann, Emily Beecham, Maciej Musiał, Aneurin Barnard, Miguel Bernardeau, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Clara Rosager, José Pimentão, Mathilde Ollivier, Jonas Bloquet, Yann Gael, Isabella Wei, Gabby Wong, Rosalie Craig, Maria Erwolter and Alexandre Willaume.
Keeping with the theme of the series, the guests arrived at Funkhaus Berlin on a chartered ship.
The official synopsis of the series reads.
“1899. A migrant steamship heads west to leave the old continent. The passengers, a mixed bag of European origins, united by their hopes and dreams for the new century and their future abroad. But their journey takes an unexpected turn when they discover another migrant ship adrift on open sea. What they will find on board, will turn their passage to the promised land into a horrifying nightmare.”
The series premieres on November 17.
