Top 10 upcoming Netflix shows in November 2022

Netflix has several shows returning to its slate in November with much-awaited follow-ups and thrilling conclusions to a few.

November will see the return of “The Crown” which takes on added significance following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II while the sci-fi mystery series Manifest will begin its descent with the first part of the final season airing this month.

There will also be shades of horror on Netflix this November with “1899”, the German series from the minds of the creators of the hugely popular “Dark” and the teen comedy “Wednesday” focusing on Wednesday Addams of the iconic supernatural family.

Here is a list of the top 10 upcoming Netflix shows in November 2022:

1. Young Royals season 2

Cast: Edvin Ryding, Omar Rudberg, Malte Gårdinger, Frida Argento, Nikita Uggla, Felicia Truedsson

Season 2 of this romantic drama series continues to follow the adventures of Prince Wilhelm and his forbidden love affair with Simon in Hillerska. There are also new students in the school who create trouble as these young adults navigate the trials and tribulations of love.

Prince Wilhelm tries to make amends and fix his relationship with Simon but some people don’t want him to exhibit that side of him and will do anything to make sure it doesn’t happen.

2. Blockbuster

Cast: Melissa Fumero, Randall Park, Madeleine Arthur, J.B. Smoove, Tyler Alvarez, Olga Merediz

Timmy finds himself at the head of the last remaining Blockbuster video store in America and has to take it upon himself to inspire his eclectic staff that everything is fine and there is a future for them in that store.

Budding romances, young people with dreams and old people who have seen it all are just a small sample size of what is observed in this hallowed institution of American culture and history.

3. Manifest season 4 part 1

Cast: Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Parveen Kaur, Daryl Edwards

The final season of Manifest involves more mystery as some passengers begin disappearing or losing their lives while others get closer to finding the truth behind their disappearance all those years ago.

Some of them learn that they were specifically chosen for a reason and there is something divine behind everything that has happened to them since.

4. The Crown season 5

Cast: Imelda Staunton,  Jonathan Pryce,  Lesley Manville, Jonny Lee Miller,  Dominic West, Elizabeth Debicki 

Season 5 of The Crown follows the royal family of Britain through the 1990s as they dealt with the fallout of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s separation and eventual divorce amidst reports of affairs and unhappiness between the couple.

The final years of Diana’s life are documented as she garnered media attention due to the way she carried herself as well as the very obvious unsteady relationship she had with the Prince at the time.

5. Warrior Nun season 2

Cast: Alba Baptista, Toya Turner, Joaquim de Almeida, William Miller, Thekla Reuten, Lorena Andrea

Ava blames herself for the rise of the angel, Adriel and makes a vow to bring him down as he builds his following and aims to establish a dominant religion on Earth.

Ava learns that Adriel is not unbeatable and in order to defeat him, there is a specific weapon she must find which was wielded by the first ever Warrior Nun to defeat Adriel before.

Release date: 10 November

6. Dead to Me season 3

Cast: Christina Applegate, Linda Cardellini, Luke Roessler, Sam McCarthy, James Marsden, Max Jenkins

In the final season of Dead to Me, Jen and Judy’s friendship is pushed to new lengths as they have to manage the fallout of Jen’s murder of Steve Wood and other difficult situations.

After all that they’ve been through, their bond feels unbreakable and Jen and Judy are loyal to each other and promise to stick by each other’s side through thick and thin.

7. 1899

Cast: Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, Miguel Bernardeau, Maciej Musiał 

When a ship full of immigrants of different nationalities receives a distress signal from another ship that went missing a few months ago, they decide to investigate.

However, upon finding the ship, they invite unknown terror onboard as chaos and fear spread among the remaining passengers causing them to revolt and act in their own self-interest.

8. Elite season 6

Cast: Itzan Escamilla, Claudia Salas, Omar Ayuso, Carla Díaz, Manu Ríos, Martina Cariddi

Benjamin has been arrested for his attack on Samuel as his children deal with the impact this will have on their family. Isadora goes to the police to report her rape with Phillipe by her side during this turbulent time.

More controversy is coming to Las Encinas as the students continue to live their lives to the fullest and explore their sexualities and engage in all the vices they possibly can.

9. Inside Job part 2

Cast: Lizzy Caplan, Christian Slater, Clark Duke, Tisha Campbell, Andy Daly, Chris Diamantopoulos

Reagan dreads going back to work at Cognito Inc. now that her father, Rand is the head of the company. In a moment mirroring the beginning of the first, Reagan goes on a drunken rant about conspiracy theories in front of a kids’ tour group.

Rand is having a mid-life crisis and has control over the most powerful agency of the deep state as Brett and Reagan try to find a way to offset any major impact Rand might have on global stability thanks to his sweeping changes in operations.

10. Wednesday

Cast: Jenna Ortega, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Fred Armisen, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane   

Wednesday Addams is enrolled as a student at the Nevermore academy where supernatural students like herself attend classes away from the prying eyes of the public. Much to her displeasure, she has to contend with high school life and form new relationships.

There are also several mysteries within Nevermore that Wednesday has to solve including stopping a murderous monster from going on a rampage and investigating a curse that affected her family 25 years ago.

Release date: 23 November
