Suhail, a college student, rents a room at Farzaan and Rukhsana’s house because his family does not live in Bengaluru.
Suhail’s father owns a law firm and wants him to become a lawyer, but Suhail dreams of becoming a musician.

Struggles of an aspiring musician
While living at Rukhsana’s house, Suhail develops feelings for her, and Rukhsana reciprocates his feelings.
However, the two of them have to keep their relationship a secret because Suhail still needs to be financially independent before he can discuss his relationship with Rukhsana with his parents.
Suhail continues writing songs and hopes to hear back from different producers. Meanwhile, Rukhsana supports him and patiently waits for him to succeed.
Rukhsana not only takes an interest in his music but also keeps trying to find ways to make his songs go viral on social media.
Their secret relationship can only last for so long. Unaware of Rukhsana and Suhail’s relationship, Rukhsana’s family decides to arrange her marriage to a wealthy man’s son.
Rukhsana, who had been asking Suhail to speak to his father about their relationship, can no longer wait for Suhail.
Rukhsana is forced to agree to the arranged marriage and break up with Suhail. To prevent Rukhsana from marrying someone else, Suhail promises to join his father’s law firm.
However, Rukhsana fears that Suhail will resent her for the rest of their lives if he has to sacrifice his passion for her.
Soon after, Rukhsana gets a job and is convinced by Asmara and Farzaan to prioritize her happiness over her family’s wishes and elope with Suhail.
Rukhsana and Suhail finally see hope that they can be together. They plan to run away to Mumbai, where a producer wants to meet Suhail.
However, before they leave, Asmara gives Suhail the opportunity to open for the famous artist, Pasha, at the Dil Deke Dekho concert.
As the concert is live-streamed on social media, Suhail gets the exposure he needed all along; his talent is finally recognized and appreciated.
Rukhsana and Suhail are supposed to leave for Mumbai right after Suhail’s performance, but they never do.
Suhail disappears after the performance, leaving Rukhsana, who has run away from home for him, waiting for him alone at the bus station.
