Shehar Lakhot is centered around a marble mining town and Dev Tomar, who returns home after 10 years to get embroiled in a major conspiracy. The series is streaming on Prime Video.

Plot summary:
Dev Tomar is a fixer in Gurugram who gets an order from his boss to head to Lakhot on an assignment. Dev hails from Lakhot and hasn’t been home in 10 years so he’s reluctant, but his boss gives him no other choice.
Lakhot is a marble mining town, with a man named Kairav ruling the place as the head of the Marble Association and the owner of the land where the mines are. Some tribals are protesting the murder of a deer near the mines and have blocked off access.
Dev is sent on behalf of one of the mine owners, but when he arrives home, he is confronted by several obstacles, including figures from his past.
The protestors are being led by an intellectual named Vikas who also belongs to the same tribal caste. He believes that the mines lie on sacred land that originally belonged to the tribal before Kairav “stole” it.
Dev’s brother Jay and father are not too happy to see him, although his sister-in-law, Vidhushi has a soft spot for him. He also runs into his former partner, Sandhya, who is working for Kairav.
10 years ago, Kairav beat a man close to death after they insulted Sandhya. Kairav went to prison for 4 years and became a sign of shame in his family.
Dev’s client is Centre Marbles, and the man running it locally is Sunil Mahajan. Sunil is being blackmailed by some men and Kairav sends his people, twin siblings Bhi and Bho, to find out who is responsible.
The local SHO, Rajbir Rangot, is a corrupt officer in the pockets of whoever will feed him. SI Pallavi Raj seems to be the only honest officer in his station, and she is tasked with the case of a dead foreigner whose body showed up at a construction site.
Jay owes a whole lot of money because of a gambling problem, and he turns out to be one of the blackmailers. However, the exchange goes woefully wrong, and Dev finds himself in the clutches of Bhi and Bho.
When Kairav eventually finds out that Dev is technically on the same side, he tells him to return to his boss because the situation with Vikas is being handled.
Dev cannot leave until he gets back his boss’s car which was stolen. He notices Vikas at a local bar and catches him with another man. He visits his friend Antariksh to download the photos, but Vikas is arrested by Rajbir and Dev chooses not to use them.
Rajbir is working with Bhenno, the local MLA who has a grudge against Kairav. They both want Vikas to end the protest, but Kairav and Bhenno have different motivations.
Jay turns up dead in his car, and Dev is arrested as the prime suspect. He gets out on bail and begins digging into his brother’s life along with Vidushi.
They discover that he was laundering money for Kairav through several shell companies. Dev gets a tour of Kairav’s hotel where he runs a casino and a brothel, all managed by Sandhya.
Pallavi figures out who the dead foreign woman is, and suspects serious foul play. Dev believes that her death is somehow connected to Jay’s and shares that with Pallavi.
Vikas is caught in a tug-of-war between Kairav and Bhenno, with Rajbir siding with the MLA. Rajbir figures out that Kairav has been using the marble to smuggle drugs, and decides to try and get a piece for himself.
Antariksh tells Dev that Kairav has CCTV in all the rooms of his hotel, and Dev asks him to get a copy of the footage. They find several high-profile individuals taking part in all sorts of promiscuous activities, including Bhenno, who killed the foreign girl.
Kairav finds out about Vikas’ homosexuality and uses that to blackmail him. Seeing that Vikas is out from under their thumb, Rajbir murders Vikas and uses his death to get the situation back under Bhenno’s control.
Jay turns out to be alive, and Bho is the first one to spot him. Jay kills Bho to save himself, but Bhi goes after him to find out where her brother is.
It is revealed that Jay has been stealing money from Kairav, and he did it with Sandhya’s help as the two began an affair with each other. They had a plan to run away with the money, but Jay messed things up with his blackmail plot.
Dev hands the drive with the CCTV footage to Pallavi so that she can do the right thing with it. Kairav finds out that Sandhya has betrayed him and punishes her.
Dev helps Jay escape, and Jay and Sandhya individually convince Dev that Kairav is the one who needs to be taken out. Dev promises to kill Kairav so that he and Sandhya can live a life together.

What happens to Rajbir?
Rajbir betrays Bhenno after Kairav offers a small sliver of his business to the greedy SHO. He also learns that Pallavi has a hard drive and visits her and threatens her.
When that doesn’t work, he tells Kairav that she has the drive so that he can take care of it. Kairav thanks Rajbir for the information and then kills him because of Rajbir’s trustworthiness.
What does Dev find out?
Dev sneaks into Kairav’s hotel to kill him, but Kairav is waiting for him there. He then tells Dev about Sandhya and Jay’s affair and how they plan on running away with each other.
The two of them exchange all the information they have gathered about the whole situation and Dev has a tough time believing that Sandhya played him.
Kairav suggests that Dev just tell Sandhya that he killed Kairav, and then follow her to see what she does.
What is Sandhya’s fate?
Sandhya pretends to be Vidushi and gets the money stashed in her account that she and Jay stole. She then gets in her car and drives off to where Jay is hiding.
Dev follows them until they take a wrong turn and end up at a dead end. Dev argues with Jay and Sandhya, with guns pointed on either side.
Sandhya tries to pit the two brothers against each other and ends up killing Jay. She asks Dev to go with her, but he says that too much has happened and he cannot forgive her.
He lets her go, but Pallavi arrives and kills Sandhya. She lets Dev take the money and move on with his life because he helped her throughout.
What happens in Lakhot?
Pallavi realizes that Kairav has too much power and returns the hard drive to him. In exchange for the safety of her mother and herself, she agrees to work for him.
She also asks him to take care of Rajbir, unaware that he has already killed the dirty cop. Dev takes the money and gives it to Vidushi and his father, finally making peace with his family.
He returns to Gurugram and finds a package sent to him by Pallavi. It is a copy of the hard drive because she believes he is a genuinely good person and maybe he can do something better with it than she could.
