Olivia Siegel: Sugar character explained

In Sugar, Olivia Siegel is the missing granddaughter of well-known film producer Jonathan Siegel. Sydney Chandler plays Olivia.

Jonathan Siegel hires Sugar to look for his granddaughter, Olivia, who has been missing for two weeks. She is 25 years old, but still a child to Jonathan.

For many years, Olivia has struggled with drug problems. She has disappeared before. She would often vanish for days, weeks, and even months.

Jonathan is worried about Olivia this time because whenever Olivia would disappear, she would always call him for money. This time around, it’s different; he hasn’t heard from her.

Unlike Jonathan, Olivia’s brother, David, and her father, Bernie, think that she is off to one of her misadventures.

Olivia’s mother, Rachel Kaye, was a great actress who died in a car accident. Olivia’s social media sees her acting out one of her mother’s best scenes.

The concern around Olivia’s case

A week before Olivia vanished, she frequently visited a place where Carmen Vasquez, a woman who used to reside there, had lived.

Carmen Vasquez was recently raped and murdered. Olivia’s car was nearby the night Carmen died.

Sugar has discovered the body of Carmen’s murderer, Clifford Carter, in Olivia’s trunk. Sugar is obligated to report to the cops but has chosen to stay quiet for Mr. Jonathan Siegel.

Melanie’s secret

Olivia and Melanie had been hanging out together. Sugar noticed a change in the content that Olivia posts after she started meeting Melanie regularly.

Melanie uses the same words her ex-husband uses, claiming that Olivia is using drugs again and might show up sooner or later.

Melanie puts on an act and stops cooperating. She kicks John out. It is later revealed that Melanie is friends with Carmen’s sister, Teresa.

Before Clifford disappeared, he texted the pictures of Carmen and then Melanie to his boss, who is looking for Clifford because Clifford has some information that he doesn’t want anyone else to know.
