Kate Danton: The Morning Show season 3 character explained

In The Morning Show season 3, Kate Danton is Stella’s best friend. She works for Paul Marks’ Hyperion. Natalie Morales plays Kate.

Kate and Stella know each other from Stanford. Unlike Stella, Kate didn’t leave Hyperion, and she regrets it. When COVID restrictions were being lowered, Stella and Kate did meet, and Kate expressed that Hyperion is not working that well for her.

Many times, Kate feels like packing her stuff and just leaving, knowing that nobody cares about her there. She would rather open a cafe than work at Hyperion.

Kate warns Stella

During an event at UBA, Kate visits Stella again. Stella is being offered a job by Paul Marks. She will be replacing Cory at UBA once UBA and Hyperion seal the deal.

While Stella is still thinking about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Kate comes to inform Stella that Paul Marks has fired her over a philosophical argument.

Kate had been working there for 12 years and had come to believe that her opinion mattered, but one day she walked in and saw that her badge wasn’t working anymore.

Kate tells Stella that Paul Marks owns her

Kate has come here after hearing the news that Paul is buying UBA. She notices how Stella is covering for Paul and questions what he has offered her.

Kate tries to explain to Stella that she should be investigating Paul. Kate points out that Paul Marks owns Stella, and she just can’t see it.

When Stella says that she is sorry that Kate lost her job and claims that Kate should stop blaming others, Kate comes to the conclusion that Stella will always choose Paul over her and leaves.
