Iván from Netflix’s other popular series, Elite, crosses over to the world of the African teen drama, Blood & Water, as a new romantic interest of Puleng.
Iván is the new Brazilian exchange student from Parkhurst High of Cape Town. His first friend is Fiks, who initiates his tour of the school.
Iván brings with him a charm and an accent that Puleng finds attractive. That’s why even as she is drinking her woes down, Iván catches her attention at Chris’s party.
The sex and the tape
The two quickly get chatting, playing games, dancing, kissing, and having sex.
Their sex gets secretly recorded too, at the orders of a person from Fiks’s past who wants revenge on her and her loved ones.
Puleng is sent the sex tape and blackmailed by the vengeful anonymous guy.
She immediately thinks Iván is behind it because he’s the only one she can be suspicious about at the moment.
When she confronts him about it, he feels understandably insulted and ends up saying some hurtful things to her as well, earning a slap in the process.
Puleng later realizes how it couldn’t have been him behind the sex tape, as things just don’t add up, and she apologizes to him for the slap.
The steamy hookups conclude
He forgives quickly, and the two continue hooking up. He also helps Puleng in her investigations into the blackmailer and his demands, though he’s not an active participant.
When the sex tape is leaked anyway, he comforts her and the two continue hooking up, as he provides Puleng some well-needed reprieve from all the chaos.
The two share a really steamy relationship and Puleng can’t help but be attracted to his charms.
On his last night in Cape Town, he takes her to a pool and makes her comfortable in the water, as the two get intimate for the last time.
This meeting marks Iván’s last appearance in Blood & Water season 4.
