Gökhan receives a message from the AI Kubra on the app Soultouch, but the program was testing him.
Gökhan was a man of faith and he downloaded the app Soultouch to chat with other people who shared a similar passion.
When the messages from Kubra begin to freak him out, he deletes the app from his phone. However, the AI redownloads the app by itself and continues messaging him.
Only much later does Gökhan find out that the entire situation was originally orchestrated by a computer program and not the voice of God as he imagined.
Put to the test
Kubra sends Gökhan the story of Noah and how his son perished in the floods despite Noah’s pleas.
Gökhan speaks to the local Imam about the story and raises his doubts about the God tests his followers.
Kubra tells Gökhan that it will test him through his family, and if he perseveres, then he will be worthy.
Gökhan is asked to open his eyes and listen to his heart, and when he is ready, he is sent to a location.
He arrives to find his sister on the rooftop of an abandoned building. She is mourning the death of their father around the 2nd anniversary and blames herself.
Gökhan is told to stay silent and remain steadfast as his sister walks towards the edge of the roof.
As she reaches the edge, Gökhan doesn’t intervene and Kubra adjudges him to have passed the test.
It plays a message on both of their phones with the voice of their father. It asks Gökhan’s sister to honor his memory by living on and enjoying life.
