Ellie: Road House (2024) character explained

Elli, a doctor, is Dalton’s love interest in Road House. Daniela Melchior plays Ellie.

When Dalton moves to Glass Key and starts working at Frankie’s roadhouse, he encounters thugs sent by Ben Brandt.

Dalton, being a good person, takes them to the hospital and ensures that they receive medical attention after fighting them.

There, he meets Ellie, a doctor working in the ER. Initially, Ellie doesn’t like him, assuming he is like the thugs who cause trouble.

Despite that, Ellie offers to help him with his injuries. Soon, she realizes that Dalton is different. He is kind, does not resort to violence without reason, and even has a sense of humor.

Short-lived romance

Ellie and Dalton begin to develop feelings for each other, and since Dalton is new to Glass Key, Ellie warns him to be cautious.

Having grown up in the town, Ellie is well aware of its power dynamics and what happens when one steps on the wrong toes.

Ellie’s father is the sheriff, but Ellie does not like to be associated with him, as he is a corrupt policeman who works for the Brandts.

After her mother’s death, Ellie moved away and changed her name. Eventually, she came back to Glass Key, but she cut all ties with her father.

As Dalton impresses Ellie, she decides to take him on a date to lift his spirits after Dell’s death and all the threats.

When Ellie starts asking him questions about his life, Dalton tries to avoid answering. Due to what happened in his past, he does not want Ellie to get to know him.

However, Ellie reveals that she already knows about his history and still wants to date him. Their date ends with a kiss, hinting at a potential relationship.

Ellie even stands up to her father and rescues Dalton when her father misuses his power to threaten him.

Ellie is kidnapped by Ben, who knows about her relationship with Dalton and intends to use her as leverage to get back the money Dalton stole from him.

Dalton manages to save Ellie and fights Knox. During the fight, he loses control and fatally stabs Knox multiple times.

Ellie witnesses it all, and just as Dalton had feared, she can no longer see him in the same light. She realizes that knowing about Dalton killing someone is not the same as witnessing it.

Although Dalton apologizes to Ellie, she asks him to leave, as she cannot be with him after seeing his violent side.
