Da-min: Bloodhounds character explained

In Bloodhounds, Da-min is the granddaughter of Mr. Oh. She gives the room she is living in and a car to Gun-woo and Woo-jin for their mission and surprises them when she joins them. Jung Da-Eun plays Da-min.

After much convincing, Mr. Oh, who served Mr. Choi, finally allows Gun-woo and Woo-jin to go after Myeong-gil again. He hands them the last of the money he has left of Mr. Choi and sends both of them to his granddaughter, Da-min, in Seoul.

Da-min is told to give her room to Gun-woo and Woo-jin and the keys to a car. Before Gun-woo and Woo-jin can start living there, Da-min breaks down some ground rules.

They are not allowed to open certain drawers that are tapped because they have her private stuff. If Da-min sees the tapes removed, she will report them to the police. Furthermore, they can’t use her computer either.

The boys adhere to her first rule respectfully but often break the second one to use her computer for investigation. Da-min quickly finds out whenever they access her computer and arrives at the room to confront them.

She also finds out that they have ruined her room. It smells like a lonely man’s room now. Just when she loses hope, Woo-jin promises to get rid of the smell before they leave.

The other side of Da-min

After learning that Gun-woo and Woo-jin are onto him, Myeong-gil tries to blackmail them by kidnapping Mr. Oh. Da-min peaks into Gun-woo’s phone and sees the photo of her grandfather in an unconscious state.

Da-min hears what In-beom, one of Myeong-gil’s associates, has to say and promises to kill him. In-beom invites Gun-woo and Woo-jin to a mall. Da-min volunteers to join them and brings her compound bow out.

Da-min targeting Myeong-gil

Da-min shows off her skills as an archer, leaving Gun-woo and Woo-jin no option but to allow her to come. Da-min then proves to be a valuable addition, as she makes most of her attacks count and distracts Myeong-gil’s goons during the battle at Four Garden Mall.

Does Da-min rescue her grandpa?

When Myeong-gil almost takes out Gang-yong’s team, Gun-woo and Woo-jin start realizing that things are getting dangerous. So when Myeong-gil invites them to meet, they plan to leave Da-min out.

Da-min makes it clear that they aren’t going to rescue her grandpa without her. Gun-woo tricks her by asking her to find a good spot to attack far away from the location they are going to.

In the end, it’s only Da-min who rescues her grandpa. She makes it in time when Myeong-gil is holding a knife to Mr. Oh’s neck to stop Gun-woo and Woo-jin from fighting back. Da-min surprises Myeong-gil and attacks him right on his hand, which is holding the knife.

Before going to confront Myeong-gil one last time, Gun-woo and Woo-jin say their goodbyes to Da-min and Mr. Oh. Da-min establishes that they are a team and asks them to stay in touch with her. She returns to her room and finds out that, as promised, Woo-jin has gotten rid of the lonely man’s smell and has left her gifts.
