Anything for her son

Agnes: The Regime character explained 1
Oskar is the only person that Agnes truly cares for

Agnes is close to an attendee and they usually flirt in secret and give each other updates on what is happening within the palace and outside.

When Herbert’s influence rises and he insists on using folk remedies to treat Oskar’s epilepsy, Agnes sneaks in modern medication into his meals to be safe.

Even though everyone else shows clear contempt for Herbert, Agnes is one of the few who actually treats him fairly.

When Elena’s mind begins to devolve along with her government, Agnes is approached by the Americans to defect in exchange for her and Oskar’s safety.

She initially remains loyal to Elena but when things look dire around Christmas, she agrees to leave.

Unfortunately, the castle is stormed on Christmas eve and Agnes attempts to sneak through the mob to get to Oskar who was left behind by Elena and Herbert.

She almost makes it before she is killed by one of the rebels mistaking her for an enemy combatant.
