In Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, AET, Applied Experimental Technologies, is a company that May used to work for.
In the seventh episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Cate and Kentaro learn from Tim that May’s real name is Corah.
May, as Corah, used to work as a programmer for AET, a company that is hunting her down, which is why she had to change her name and find shelter in Japan.
May crosses AET
AET promised May that she could help people with disabilities walk and see again if she joined them.
However, she suspects the company when her code disappears at the company’s Cybernetic Neuro-Interface Unit.
May investigated the company and learned that they are experimenting on animals. She then decided to stop all of this by crashing the servers of AET and wiping out their years of research.
Brenda, May’s superior, recognized May’s code. Since then, May has been on the run from AET.
May cuts a deal with Duvall that may allow her to come back home. However, in Tindouf, Algeria, May is kidnapped by AET.
Monarch saves May
Brenda interrogates May for destroying millions of dollars of work. However, she is aware that May knows something about monsters and has been dealing with Monarch recently.
Brenda is willing to let May go if she continues to live her lie and brings information on monsters to them.
Brenda is interested in learning about the nervous system that helps Godzilla walk. May will be a spy working for AET.
May chooses to tell her friends the truth. Cate and Kentaro cut a deal with Monarch. In exchange for Lee’s location, they want Monarch to help May.
AET’s connection to Apex Cybernetics
Verdugo from Monarch talks to AET. Both companies come to an understanding, and May is let go.
May continues to join Cate and Kentaro on this adventure because Monarch made a deal with a company that they shouldn’t trust. May knows how AET can be. Hence, she is not staying behind.
Meanwhile, Brenda is seen talking to Mr. Simmons on the phone. She is shown the new brand name and logo for AET, which is revealed to Apex Cybernetics. Apex Cybernetics is the future rival of Monarch.
