ZEE5 offers free content amid Coronavirus lockdown

In an effort to uplift those stuck at home due to the nation-wide lockdown, ZEE5 has announced a new initiative ‘Be calm Be Entertained.’

Under #BeCalmBeEntertained, the Indian OTT platform promised to provide its viewers with free content to stream to urge people to stay home and maintain social distance.

The company released an official statement to announce the initiative and said:

Social distancing is the need of the hour, however, the fact of being engaged, expressive and the need for entertainment is not going to go away. ZEE5 India realises the gloominess that the nation faces today and hence the need to boost the entertainment quotient.

The 21-day lockdown, while important to reduce the number of Coronavirus cases, has caused worry and panic across the country.

In this light, the decision was welcomed by the audience with many urging other streaming platforms to follow the same route.

The viewers will now be able to stream the original web series for free including The Final Call starring Arjun Rampal; Kar Le Tu Bhi Mohabbat starring Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar; Baarish featuring Sharman Joshi and Asha Negi.
