The Indian streaming website turned two recently and delivered some exciting news for its viewers. It is all set to treat their audience with new content in 2020.
At their party thrown in Mumbai, ZEE5 commemorated its two years in the digital space.
The occasion was marked by several well-known figures including Jennifer Winget, Karanvir Bohra, Chunky Pandey and Nakuul Mehta.
With shows like The Casino, Kaali 2 and Poison 2 already in the making, Zee5 announced several new projects.
The fans are in for a treat as one of ZEE5’s most acclaimed web series, Kaafir (starring Dia Miraz and Mohit Raina) will get a second season.
Along with this, another original is in its production stage.
Another web series Naxal is set to be the first to take up the subject of communism. It will feature Rajiv Khandelwal in the lead role. Directed by Kunaal Kohli, the thriller will centre around the lives of Naxalites.
Additionally, the OTT platform will also release a one-hour anthology film that will star actor Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead role. Titled The Serpent, it will be based on prison breaks and will be directed by Prawal Raman.
The actor had this to say about his new venture:
“I loved the opportunity. I recently shot with the team and it was wonderful. The Serpent will be an exciting film and something new for Zee5.”
