Netflix has released the trailer for ‘Violet Evergarden: The Movie’. The anime film brings the Kyoto Animations’ series to a close.

Release date

‘Violet Evergreen: The Movie’ is set to release on Netflix on October 13, 2021. However, it will be available only in selected regions.

Synopsis

The description for the tear-jerker reads as follows:

“After the aftermath of a war, a young girl who was used as a tool for war learns to properly live. With the scars of burns, she goes back to her past to discover her true feelings towards the Major.”

Other details

‘Violet Evergarden’ started as a light novel series by Kana Akatsuki and was illustrated by Akiko Takase. After winning the grand prize in the categories of novel, scenario and manga, Kyoto Animations adapted it into a 13 episode-series.

The trailer opens with Violet introducing herself and gives glimpses of how heartbroken she is, after all these years, over the Major.
