Twitterati bash Netflix’s Dharma Productions film Drive

Dharma Productions’ ‘Drive’, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez, was given a Netflix release on November 1 after continuous delays.

The action heist film was originally supposed to get a theatrical release but ultimately sent straight to the streaming platform.

It was rumoured that Karan Johar wasn’t happy with the end product and therefore chose to avoid releasing the film in theatres. Considering the viewers’ response, that might well have been the case.

Those who watched the film took to Twitter to express their utmost disappointment in Netflix and the film:

Considering Netflix recently signed a multi-year deal with Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment (the digital arm of Dharma) to create “original feature films, web series (fiction & non-fiction)”, one can only hope that this disaster named Drive wasn’t the first of many.
