Hotstar has released a minute-long trailer for the official Indian adaption of The Office; a television sitcom.
The 9-season American show became immensely popular a few years ago. There is also a UK version which was the first to air in 2001. Now the Indian streaming giant has taken the series under its fold of Hotstar Originals.
The cast of the show includes comedy actors like Mukul Chadda, who is playing the boss who tries too hard to be funny but fails at it. Other artists include Gopal Dutt from TVF Pitchers, Sayandeep Sengupta, Samridhi Dewan and Gauahar Khan (Game).
The Office Hindi is being spearheaded by Rohan Sippy who is known for his previous works such as Chandani Chowk to China, Nautanki Saala and Bluffmaster!
Fans, however, are not happy, with many taking to Twitter to express their frustration:
