The official synopsis reads: “132 rooms. 157 suspects. One dead body. One wildly eccentric detective. One disastrous State Dinner. The Residence is a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world’s most famous mansion.”

It uses Kate Andersen Brower’s novel ‘The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House’ as a starting point, but the story is original.

Bridgerton is currently the most-watched English language series on Netflix in the first 28 days, with over 625 million hours viewed.

Inventing Anna recently entered the Top 10 English language series list, accumulating over 481 million watch hours in the first 28 days after release.

Season 2 of Bridgerton, which shifts focus from Daphne to her older brother Anthony, will stream on Netflix later this month.
