The search for truth continues in the land of Brazil as Netflix has renewed The Mechanism for another season.
The Mechanism is a political drama series created by José Padilha and Elena Soarez. The show focuses on Operation Car Wash, a police force with investigates corruption in the Brazilian government. Season 1 of the show consisted of 8 episodes and premiered on March 2018.
In the fiery trailer, we see the protagonists Marco and Verena as they continue their investigations against the people behind highly corrupt system known as O Mecanismo (The Mechanism). The clip promises the next season to be full of drama, suspense and possibly a conclusion to the sage which uncovers the powers behind the puppets.
Season 1 for the series was loved by online audiences and critics with the show garnering an 80% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes & an 8.8/10 on IMDB. So naturally, expectations are high.
The second season of The Mechanism premieres on May 10th on Netflix
