‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’ gets Netflix adaptation

‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’, which is based on Jojo Moyes’ novel by the same name, will premiere on Netflix on July 23.

Moyes’ ‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’ was a New York Times #1 Best-seller back in 2012 and has now been adapted into a movie which will release this summer.

The story dates back to the 1960s, the teaser shows us a romantic story full of love and pain. A married woman (Shailene Woodley) and a writer (Callum Turner) fall for each other. Turner is working for Woodley’s husband on a project when the two meet, and a spark ignites between them.

The two write each other letters to confess their feelings. Fast-forward to the 21st century, a journalist (Felicity Jones) comes across these letters and sets on a journey to find out what happened with the two lovers. Can she bring the two together? We’ll have to wait till July to find that out.

Other than Woodley, Turner and Jones, the movie also stars Joe Alwyn, Nabhaan Rizwan, and sex education’s Ncuti Gatwa among others.

‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’ is directed by Augustine Frizzell. The movie also features new original music created by Haim.
