‘Teletubbies’ to get Netflix reboot with Tituss Burgess as narrator

Netflix has revealed that ‘Teletubbies’, the classic children’s show from the UK, is being rebooted for the streaming service. It will premiere on November 14.

Also, American actor Tituss Burgess, who is known for the Netflix series, ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’, will be the new narrator of the show.

‘Teletubbies’ revolves around four different colored characters — Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po — as they have a joyous time in Teletubbyland. They are surrounded by rabbits, lush grasslands, a baby faced sun and live inside a huge dome shaped house called the ‘Tubbytronic Superdome’.

They are called ‘Teletubbies’ because of working television screens on their bellies and differently shaped antennas on their heads.

The show first aired in 1997 and ran till 2001. It was eventually revived in 2014. More details about the Netflix reboot are awaited.
