Netflix’s new anime series, Spriggan, is a vivid re-imagination of the legendary 90s manga of the same name. Reborn after 30 years, Spriggan merges the love of ancient civilizations with action scenes.
All the episodes of Spriggan will release exclusively on Netflix on June 18.

“The manga’s story centres on Yū Ominae, a high school student who is also a Spriggan, an agent charged by the ARCAM Corporation to protect the ancient relics of an advanced older civilization from falling into the hands of states and entities who wish to misuse them.”
The series is based on a manga of the same name by Hiroshi Takashige. He started writing it with artist Ryoji Minagawa in 1989. Viz Media published edited versions of three of the manga’s eleven volumes as Striker in North America from 1998 to 1999.
The relics of an ancient civilization that possessed advanced knowledge and scientific knowledge remain hidden across this world. When high-speed communication networks and satellites threaten to expose all secrets, one organization aims to seal away this civilization for the greater good. An elite group of secret agents, called Spriggans are employed to carry out the deeds.
