Paper Girls cancelled by Prime Video after one season

Based on the novel of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan, the show was produced by Amazon Studios, Legendary Television and Plan B.

The official synopsis of Paper Girls season 1 reads:

“Four young friends’ paper routes are disrupted on Hell Day 1988, when they unknowingly time travel to 2019. While searching for a way home, they clash with members of two time-jumping factions at war, and must come face-to-face with their adult selves and learn how to work together to save the world.”

The primary cast included Erin (Riley Lai Nelet), Tiffany (Camryn Jones), Mac (Sofia Rosinsky), and KJ (Fina Strazza).

The show received generally positive reviews with a 7.3 IMDb rating and a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The Envoy Web’s reviewer gave it a 3/5 score, stating that while it had its moments, the show ultimately fails to deliver.
