Netflix announces Korean zombie series ‘All of Us are Dead’

Netflix is all set to create a series touted as a fresh take on the Korean zombie genre. The new series titled, All of Us are Dead will be made in collaboration with director Lee JQ (Beethoven VirusDamo: The Legendary Police WomanIntimate Strangers).

According to the official press release:

All of Us Are Dead is about a group of high school students who are faced with an extreme crisis situation when they become trapped in their school, while a zombie virus spreads like a wildfire.

The series is based off of an existing Korean webtoon called Now at Our School, which has been a success in Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan.

According to Netflix, All of Us are Dead will follow Kingdom, another Korean original series and introduce an interesting new addition to Korean zombie content.

Lee JQ is expected to create a strong narrative along with his signature cinematography which is sure to grab the audience’s attention.

All of Us Are Dead is written by Chun Sung-il, and also directed by Kim Nam-su along with Lee. It will be produced by JTBC Studios in association with Film Monster, and will premiere on Netflix.

No official date has been revealed regarding the release of the project.
