Synopsis

“The life-threatening journey of Kang In-gu (Ha Jung-woo), a civilian businessman who has no choice but to cooperate with the secret operation of the National Intelligence Service to catch Jeon Yo-hwan (Hwang Jung-min), the Korean drug lord who has taken control of Suriname.”

Other details

The series stars popular actors in the South Korean Industry who have worked in renowned works like The Handmaiden, Squid Game and Hospital Playlist. It is also based on true events, inspired by the life of Jo Bong-Haeng, a prominent drug lord who operated in Suriname.

Kang In-su is arrested and told that he was framed in a drug-related scandal by Jeon Yohan, disguised as a pastor. He comes back to Suriname, aided by the National Intelligence Service of Korea, under a secret mission, that is to help apprehend Yohan.

With drugs and deceit, action and thrill, Narco-Saints looks interesting.
