Farhan Akhtar plays gangster-turned-boxer in Amazon’s ‘Toofaan’

Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming sports thriller titled, ‘Toofaan’. The film stars Farhan Akhtar in the lead and will premiere on July 16.

The plot of the film revolves around Akhtar’s character as he transforms from a local goon into a national-level boxer. The intense trailer sees him sparing no effort as he goes all out as the fierce athlete, the movie requires him to be.

‘Toofaan’ also stars Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Vijay Raaz, and Darshan Kumaar. Furthermore, Akhtar reunites with his Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for the venture.

The film was supposed to be a theatrical release but has now opted for the OTT route owing to the pandemic.
