The United States enters a civil war and Manhattan is turned into a demilitarised zone. The war has converted the city into a post-apocalyptic landscape, with scenes of deteriorated buildings and vegetation beginning to wrap the city.
The residents are left behind, abandoned, expected to fend for themselves. One woman makes the perilous journey across the DMZ to find her son.
