ZEE5’s latest ‘com-rom’ movie, ‘Comedy Couple’ is a melting pot of drama, comedy, twists and romance between two budding stand-up comics. Based on a story by Bikas Mishra, the film is set in Gurgaon against the flourishing stand-up comedy industry.
According to the makers, ‘Comedy Couple’ follows the inter-personal journeys of the protagonists, Zoya Batra and Deep Sharma, who perform stand-up together. Their friendship and professional life as comics are what the film revolves around.
Directed by Nachiket Samant, ‘Comedy Couple’ features Shweta Basu Prasad as Zoya Batra and Saqib Saleem as Deep Sharma.
The screenplay of the film is by Raghav Kakkar and Kashyap Kapoor and it has been produced by Yodlee Films, the film production wing of Saregama India.
Keeping in mind the pandemic situation, the shooting for ‘Comedy Couple’ started last week in Mumbai. According to reports, all procedures of the shoot are happening while abiding government-laid rules and regulations.
