Renowned Indian comedian and television presenter, Kapil Sharma, has announced his Netflix debut via social media, followed by an announcement video.
The nature of his appearance on the platform is still under wraps but the mystery project will be available to stream in 190 countries, according to a press release.
Talking about this venture, Sharma said:
“I am super excited for my first-ever association with Netflix. 2020 has been a bumpy ride for everyone around the world and my motive is to make people forget their worries and welcome this new year with love, laughter and positivity. I always wanted to be on Netflix but I didn’t have their number (hahaha). It’s a project close to my heart and I cannot wait to share more details with my fans soon.”
The 39-year-old comic, who hails from Amritsar in Punjab, first came into the limelight when he won ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ in 2007. He currently hosts ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony Entertainment Television.
