Years after Hurricane Maria ravaged Puerto Rico; killing and displacing thousands of people, Netflix has released a trailer for a film documenting the struggle of the survivors.
After FEMA ended the support for victims without homes, the movie shows the survivors finding solace and banding together through shared suffering and pain.
The short trailer shows that the movie revolves around three Puerto Rican women as they manage their household after as their housing aid in New York is cut off. The movie also premiered in the Tribeca Film Festival this year.
After Maria will be ready to stream on Netflix come May 24th.
