Marta Ochoa: Is the Griselda character connected to Narcos?

Marta Ochoa was the sister of the Ochoa brothers, two high-ranking members of the Medellin Cartel.

Marta Ochoa is a real person who appears in both Griselda and Narcos, although she is played by different actors.

Carolina Gaitan portrays the character in Narcos while the Griselda version is played by Julieth Restrepo.

She appears to become close friends with Griselda during the peak of her paranoia and meets an untimely death in the series.

Riding too high

Marta drives a lot of the paranoia in Griselda as the two spend time doing drugs with each other.

After pushing everyone else away, Griselda turns to Marta for support. Marta enjoys stirring the pot and Dario warns her about that as well.

During one particular encounter, Marta and Griselda get worked up after making a plan to take control of the business.

However, Marta falls over from an overdose and dies almost immediately. Griselda hides the body with Rivi’s help and escapes from there before her brothers find out.

Not much is known

There is little background known about Marta Ochoa or where she is right now, although a significant event involving her was depicted in the series Narcos.

Marta was kidnapped in 1981 by the M-19 guerilla movement in Colombia and was set free unharmed after Pablo Escobar attacked the M-19’s jungle camp.

Her death in Griselda could also be a fictional event as there is no credible source to corroborate the truth.
