By nature, he is cold and calculative, keeping a straight face even in the face of adversity. Wade keeps himself prepared for the worst and also doesn’t seem to trust anyone completely.

Wade can also be ruthless when required. The massacre on Judgment Day is an example of how Wade is emotionally detached and is ready to make sacrifices.

While some hate his style of leadership, others call it weird. The choices Wade makes always seem to have a reason behind them or are suspicious. It’s like he already has plans for everything.

Wade is important to San-Ti

Throughout the series, Wade stands out as someone who can be a formidable threat to San-Ti. He figures out the advantages they have over San-Ti.

After the failure of the Staircase Project, San-Ti speak to Wade. They acknowledge him as a strong leader and let him know that there will be a place for him when they arrive.

Wade is a part of San-Ti’s plan. San-Ti claim to be with him everywhere he goes. They will have him see what they want him to see until the day he dies.
