The Alkebulan in Heart of the Hunter explained

The Alkebulan is a special forces unit established to protect against injustice and harm to the people.

Zuko is out on a mission for the Alkebulan and he successfully kills his target. Unfortunately, the target’s son watches this happen and Zuko rushes out of there.

He discovers that Johnny Klein knew the family would be there but didn’t share that information with Zuko because he felt it was inconsequential.

Zuko tells Klein that his debt is paid and leaves them to start a new life.

Years later, Klein shows up at Zuko’s doorstep to tell him that they can stop the corrupt Daza Mtima from becoming the next president.

A special task force

Klein tries to remind Zuko of the oath he swore and tells him that there are files that will expose Mtima as well as Alkebulan hidden in Maseru.

He refers to Maseru as the birthplace of the Alkebulan. After Klein’s death, Zuko heads towards Maseru, and he has Naledi Gumede to help.

She used to go by the name Iman, but now she goes by Naledi and has infiltrated the PIA. She does her best to throw the PIA off Zuko’s scent but she gets compromised.

Johnny Klein worked with Thandiwe Makeba to set Alkebulan, and their goal was counterintelligence against Mtima and other harmful elements.

Naledi tells Mike Bressler the same thing and insists that the evidence exists. Thandiwe tells Mo that Zuko is their secret weapon because he has the soul of a warrior and hunter within him.

Once he has a target, very little can stop him. Zuko gets to Maseru, which is a village in the woods, and he finds the evidence.

He burns the files on Alkebulan and hands over the rest to Mike Bressler.
