Temporal criminals in T・P BON explained

In T・P BON, temporal criminals are those individuals who break laws while time traveling.

As Time Patrol agents, Bon and Ream have to time travel quite a bit, but there are several rules in place that Time Patrol agents must follow.

These rules ensure that the agents do not break Time Navigation Laws, as that would result in disastrous consequences, such as changing the future.

However, there are people who illegally time-travel and do not bother to follow the Time Navigation Laws.

These individuals are termed temporal criminals, and they time-travel without permission for their own enjoyment or monetary gain.

The consequences of Temporal criminals’ activities

Temporal criminals can be poachers as well as robbers. They travel through time and space to commit crimes.

Committing a crime by traveling to the past gives them an advantage, as they are already aware of what will happen in the future.

Bon and Ream come across a robber, who is a temporal criminal, when they travel to 2592 B.C. Egypt to save Thoth.

The robber had traveled back in time to loot the royal tombs in Egypt. There, his ship broke down, and he got stuck in that era.

Bon and Ream encounter another temporal criminal when they go on vacation to the Late Jurassic Period. This time, they meet a poacher.

The poacher has been traveling back in time to hunt animals that went extinct a long time ago: dinosaurs. He has been doing so undetected.

Poaching animals from the past is forbidden by the Time Navigation Laws, as it can result in changing the course of history.

The poacher comes dangerously close to altering history by hunting a Juramaia that plays a pivotal role in the evolution of all mammals.

His actions threaten human existence in the future, but Ream and Bon discover what he is doing and manage to save the Juramaia.

Furthermore, the poacher repeatedly used a time machine to forcibly travel back and forth to the same era, creating reverse space-time discontinuities.

This resulted in a space-time tear, which happens to space-time when external damage is inflicted. The tear is discovered by Ream and Bon.

Fortunately, Time Patrol has a unit for dealing with temporal criminals. The unit is called the Criminal Investigation Unit.

The Criminal Investigation Unit goes after and arrests temporal criminals for breaking Time Navigation Laws.

In Bon and Ream’s encounters with temporal criminals, it is Investigating Officer Will who comes to take over the cases of temporal criminals.
