Tazer/Tayo: Supacell character explained

Tayo, better known as Tazer, is a member of a street gang who develops the power of invisibility. Josh Tedeku plays Tazer in Supacell.

Tazer is a troubled boy with anger issues who does not hesitate to whip out his knife and hurt people over the slightest issues.

He has lived with his grandmother since his mother left. Tazer believes that his mother abandoned him when, in fact, she was kidnapped by the men in hoods.

Like his mother, Tazer also has the supacell, and when it activates, he becomes a target of the people who killed his mother.

A life of crime and danger

Tazer is the leader of a street gang. He grew up with Craig, also known as Krazy, an infamous gang leader who is like a mentor to Tazer.

Krazy went to prison, and Tazer now has his own gang, much to his grandmother’s dismay. Unlike Krazy, Tazer is not feared.

To prove himself, Tazer takes unnecessary risks while facing a rival gang. He fails to gain the upper hand in fights with his enemies until he learns to control his powers.

Tazer has the power of invisibility, which he uses to kill the members of a rival gang, leading to his friends finding out about his power.

Tazer’s gang makes money through extortion, but now that Tazer can become invisible, he and his friends decide to use his powers to find other ways to make money.

They steal drugs from a gang, believing that nobody will be able to link the theft to them. However, the gang they stole from comes after them.

The leader of the gang is none other than Krazy, who got out of prison early because of Victoria’s intervention. Krazy ends up shooting one of Tazer’s friends.

Tazer then vows revenge against Krazy, starting a gang war, which results in Krazy injuring Tazer’s grandmother and getting Tazer’s friends arrested.

Joining Michael’s team

Tazer approaches Michael, whom Tazer’s gang had earlier attacked. Michael tries to warn him about the men in hoods, but Tazer pays him no heed.

Michael warns Tazer

Despite Tazer refusing to hear him out, Michael goes to save Tazer with Sabrina and Rodney when the men in hoods try to kidnap him.

Tazer still refuses to work with Michael and his team, as he is focused on finding and killing Krazy. Eventually, Tazer faces Krazy, only to find out that Krazy is one of the men in hoods.

Krazy is willing to capture Michael, Rodney, and Sabrina alive, but not Tazer. Krazy tries to kill Tazer, but Andre saves his life.

Eventually, Tazer, Michael, Andre, Rodney, and Sabrina together defeat Krazy and the other men in hoods. Tazer also finds out that his mother never abandoned him; she was killed.

Once they make it out alive, Tazer becomes part of the team, driven by a desire to avenge his mother’s death. Tazer still has a lot to learn before he can trust his team and earn their trust in return.
